Digital healthcare platform to provide better care with training and recovery tools.
Digital healthcare platform–driven care is emerging in an era where healthcare is rapidly shifting from “one-size-fits-all” to truly personalised experiences, yet many clinics still struggle to deliver individualized care at scale.
Patient adherence remains the single greatest barrier to effective recovery and long-term therapeutic success. Despite clinical expertise and well-designed treatment programs, providers consistently struggle with ensuring that patients stay engaged, perform exercises correctly, and follow care plans outside the clinic. This gap not only limits patient outcomes but also undermines the provider’s ability to deliver consistent, data-driven care.
By emphasizing adherence, accountability, and the need for a continuous patient-provider feedback loop, the Client underscores exactly the industry pain point that Adptive Care is aiming to solve.
Adptive Care develops innovative, data-driven solutions that help individuals manage chronic pain while empowering healthcare providers with intelligent tools and collaborative systems. Their mission is to revolutionize pain-relief care and self-maintenance through advanced management platforms, provider networks, and future recovery products.
The Client set out to develop an AI-powered digital healthcare platform that would help clinics deliver truly personalized rehabilitation and wellness programs at scale. Their goal was to create a platform where physical therapists could easily design and manage tailored care plans, stay connected with patients between sessions, and track progress more consistently.
To bring this vision to life, the Client partnered with InData Labs to build a unified digital learning platform for healthcare that would integrate program management, patient engagement tools, and AI-powered guidance—accessible via a web portal for patients and providers and a mobile app for patients.
The solution the Client is building with InData Labs directly addresses these long-standing industry challenges by uniting intelligent technology with clinically grounded design.
Through continuous engagement tools, Adptive Care keeps patients committed and connected throughout their recovery journey, transforming the traditional drop-off in adherence into sustained follow-through. Intelligent assistance and guided exercise support ensure patients perform their movements correctly at home, reducing the risk of re-injury and reinforcing the quality of care beyond the clinic.
Personalized patient care data has become increasingly important for maintaining meaningful and continuous engagement with patients outside the clinic. Providers lack an efficient way to create, manage, and personalize care programs at scale, often relying on manual workflows and disconnected tools.
Communication between patients and providers is often limited, and progress tracking is inconsistent, making it hard to adjust treatment plans in real time. Additionally, providers has no streamlined methods to leverage AI-driven insights and recommendations to support individualized care, resulting in missed opportunities for adaptive guidance and improved outcomes.
At the beginning of the project, InData Labs collaborated closely with the Client to define the scope and requirements for the MVP. This phase involved conducting in-depth stakeholder interviews and comprehensive process analyses to understand the needs of both providers and patients.
Based on these insights, the team identified key functional and non-functional requirements and developed high-fidelity mockups along with preliminary UI/UX designs for web and mobile platforms. These activities established a clear foundation for a structured, phased development approach, ensuring alignment between the Client’s vision and the technical implementation.
In the first phase of the project, InData Labs focused on extending the digital platform’s healthcare functionality to further enhance provider–patient communication, streamline program management, and increase patient engagement. This phase also included the development of a patient-facing iOS application to enable seamless access to personalized care programs outside the clinic.
To support communication and onboarding workflows, the team implemented a dedicated mailing server and a full email notification system handling account verification, password resets, program updates, and appointment reminders. The exercise library was significantly expanded to include several hundred exercises, enriched with LLM-generated descriptions. The knowledge base was upgraded with RAG-based document ingestion, allowing providers to upload reference files to inform AI guidance.
The web platform was further enhanced with customer care analytics, planned session tracking, text-to-speech accessibility, two-way messaging between patients and providers, improved progress visualization, and appointment visibility.
The project is in progress and providers will gain the ability to create reusable program templates, receive LLM-based recommendations for exercise adjustments, and track patient progress trends over time. Subscription management, payment system integration, and an in-app rewards system are also introduced to support scalable business models and sustained patient motivation.
During the second phase of the project, our team added new document formats to the processing pipeline, including txt files, PDF, and docx. Currently, InData Labs is developing an iOS application to extend platform functionality directly to patients. The app enables secure registration, profile and intake completion, viewing of assigned programs and appointments, accessing provider notes, running guided training sessions, engaging with the AI assistant, and using text-to-speech features for improved accessibility.
As the project goes on, the solution is evolving into a fully integrated, intelligent healthcare analytics solution that supports continuous, personalized care and strengthens the connection between clinics and patients beyond in-person visits.
Over roughly seven months, InData Labs delivered a fully functional MVP of a scalable healthcare platform, including a provider-facing web application. The next phase of the project is now underway: the team is actively developing the patient-facing iOS app to extend the platform’s capabilities and ensure seamless interaction between clinics and patients throughout the care journey.
On the provider side, the platform enables clinics to create organizations, manage users, build and customize rehabilitation and wellness programs, schedule appointments, and monitor patient activity and progress. Providers can also communicate directly with patients and leverage AI-powered recommendations to adapt programs based on feedback and evolving needs.
InData Labs is also developing support for clinic branding, subscription and payment models, scalable program templates, and an in-app rewards system to boost patient engagement and adherence. As the platform evolves, it is shaping into a unified digital healthcare solution designed to strengthen provider–patient collaboration and enable clinics to deliver consistent, personalized care both in-clinic and remotely.
For patients, the solution offers guided training sessions, easy communication with providers, the ability to submit feedback, and clear visibility into their progress and upcoming appointments. AI-enhanced chat and exercise recommendations further personalize the experience and support continuous care outside the clinic.
Real-time patient data further enables the platform to generate adaptive, personalized care plans that evolve with the patient’s progress, providing a level of responsiveness that static programs cannot achieve. At the same time, clinicians gain strengthened oversight with clear visibility into at-home activity, symptom changes, and the emergence of new or recurring pain—information that has historically been inaccessible.
By establishing a continuous, closed-loop feedback system between patients and providers, Adptive Care turns previously isolated home routines into monitored, optimized, and collaborative care experiences.
With integrated adherence tracking, engagement features, and data-driven decision support, the platform transforms the weakest link in physical therapy into a core strength.
